Since its foundation in 1962, De Tubanten has grown into one of the oldest and most renowned disabled sports clubs in the Netherlands. De Tubanten offers a wide range of sports opportunities, both recreational and competitive.

With a sporting home base in Enschede, their motto is that sports should be accessible to everyone, regardless of age, experience or skill level. Sports aren’t their only focus - building friendships, pushing personal boundaries and creating opportunities for everyone are key, too.

Over the past five decades, athletes from De Tubanten have achieved impressive performances, ranging from National, European and World Championships to the Paralympics. Sitting volleyball players, swimmers, wheeler athletes and athletes from De Tubanten have managed to win countless medals and titles here.

Transferendi annually supports De Tubanten with a financial contribution, which organises sporting and social events for associations from all over the country. Thanks to this support, members of De Tubanten can play sports and maintain social contacts, two things that are invaluable for people with disabilities.
